Radiant, fearless, and unapologetically versatile, lyric coloratura soprano Anne Elizabeth brings a bold artistic edge to every role she touches. With a warm timbre, razor-sharp coloratura, and a stage presence that crackles with emotion, she crafts performances that linger.

In the 2024/25 season, Anne made her house and role debut as the Prima Donna in Donizetti’s Viva la Mamma at the Halle Opera House — a whirlwind role that spotlighted her flair for comedy and her agility in even the most acrobatic vocal writing.

She also appeared in an Italian opera gala with the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra under Nicholas Milton, and made her Kiel Opera House debut in two sharply contrasting roles: the irreverent Adele in Die Fledermaus and the spectral Ghost of the Present in Elena Kats-Chernin’s A Christmas Carol.

This past summer, Anne stepped into the smoky underworld of Weill as Lucy in The Threepenny Opera at the Wismar Festival — a role typically claimed by actors, not opera singers. Performing in German, her second language, the role marks a compelling evolution in her dramatic skillset, demanding raw emotional precision and stage presence in addition to vocal flash.

She begins the 2025/26 season on the concert stage, with Mozart and Haydn arias alongside the Bad Reichenhaller Philharmonic (Daniel Spaw), then reunites with Spaw for a series highlighting American and British composers with the Jenar Philharmonic. She also joins the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie on a New Year’s tour — a kaleidoscope program spanning Verdi to Gloria Gaynor.

Recent operatic highlights include Olympia in Les contes d’Hoffmann (Theater Delphi Berlin), Queen of the Night (Kammeroper Köln), and Pamina (Die Zauberflöte, Allee Theater Hamburg). Other standout roles include Morgana (Alcina), Eurydice (Orpheus in the Underworld), and Adele (Die Fledermaus) with Hamburger Kammeroper.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Anne earned her Bachelor of Music with Honours from Wilfrid Laurier University and her Master’s degree in Voice Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland — one of the world’s leading conservatory programs.
